Manhunt

There has been some strange rumors spreading around the country about Lord Valentino and his personal guard since he returned from the campaign against the barbarians attacking the eastern border of his land 3 years ago. It was known in public that lord Valentino is a passionate hunter and he is most likely to be met in his woods with his hunting companions rather than sitting in a council chamber in his castle.

People say Lord Valentino was mortally wounded in a fight with the barbarian tribal chieftain and almost died. They say the person responsible for his miraculous recovery was captured shaman and even he was able to save Lord Valentino only by passing his vampire blood to him. Neither he nor any of his guard ever confirmed this.

Now Lord Valentino goes out of his chambers only after the sunset, he is unusually pale, almost white and his dark eyes have strange look now, you can almost see them glowing. Even now he is though but fair ruler, taking care and protecting his people. Country folks are afraid of him but likes him and won't say anything against him.

Lord Valentino exchanged normal hunts for manhunts as a part of the the justice system. The worst criminals, murderers, traitors, all of them have the chance to prove their innocence in Valentino's version of Trial of God. He gives a convicted criminal a few minutes head start and than he if after him together with his personal guard. The manhunt is on, the wood is full of sounds of horns, roar of hoofs, screams of hunters. No one ever prove himself Innocent. And never will until Lord Valentino will be able to ride his horse.
